525 rwhp 4l60 problems
#21
i looked him up and and it would likely be the route i would go except my trans is under warranty right now for its current build, but its on me for more upgrades. so im kind of stuck at the moment working with what i have.
thanks for the input. as i said previously im trying to figure out how to get there with what i have going, an 80 sounds good, but i guess in theory a built 60 should be just fine also
I seen 25 HP and the title and thought you were pushing it for a 4l60e.
Then I re read and seen 525! That's about 28x too much for a 4l60!
All jokes, Billet drum upgrade would help with the 3-4 drum deflection under pressure and probably help your problem, but I always like to see 80e swaps

Look into a Billet pump rotor as well, I'm guessing the extra pressure being built from the shift kit caused mine to go bang from a launch last winter. Some better input or output shafts (I forget which is the weak link) would probably go a long way. I prefer the Borg Warner high energy band and clutches, they seem to hold up better, absorb more fluid and run cooler. Sonnax and some other brands offer servos which are supposed to apply better than the vette servo. Other than that I hope the 4l60 works out for you.

I did the beast sun shell 5 pinion planetaries, shift kit, vette servo, and something else that won't come to me. Builder said, DO NOT BUILD A 500+ HP motor and put it in here, it WONT LAST!
