I would too, I just want it to act normal. Maybe gas wouldn't vanish so much either

I think it's HPTuners<EFILive . My other truck with the same trans and converter, used to not do it when it was tuned with efilive...this truck tuned with hpt does it. I don't like it either, I'm going to get a license from efilive for this truck.

weeeell, my brother looked over my tune and realized there were parameters in the file that weren't right. We had a file for a '04 LQ4/80e that we copied over into mine, but things weren't running well. He found one from an '06 and so far everything has been MUCH better. I just had a code pop up on my way home from work which I'm willing to bet its that stubborn:

P2761 = Torque Converter Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Control Circuit/Open

supposedly one of the fixes was to change out the ignition switch, which I did awhile back but no luck. I think there are a few grounds where I need to clean up the contact areas b/c I get a big draw in power every once in awhile. Another thing is the battery is old and needs to be replaced

sounds like you've got some other issues....

If anyone knows how to get the TC to stop unlocking at 0% throttle please let me know.

yea unfortunately I'm trying to get everything done up by 4/30 for an Open house/Dyno day so I can see what I put down finally. Then track day is the following weekend, I got a blown 5.0 ranger to try to beat up on

with the stock tc it's no issue honestly.

With the stall though, it's a different story....go down a hill next thing you know you're rolling at 3000 rpms wasting gas.

Damn,

It sucks that I am reading this. Is this a big enough issue if you were planning on swapping soon? I mean I have no hills where I live. If I was going to be on the highway I could set cruise control. . .

no, it's not an issue based on what you get in return with the 80e. It's a minor inconvenience at best.
