I can't find any info on the 244C that came on the 80e, can it be used or do I need to use the 246GM that is on the 60e I'm taking out. if i can't where the best place to get what i need to make the 246GM work on the 80e?

I think I have most of the other stuff figured out. I'm looking for the -6 trans fitting for the 80e and going off a list in the tru cool thread on braided line stuff. any help or tips would be great.

maybe you can just swap your encoder motor over to the new xcase?

if you have the Auto 4wd... thats the autotrack.

search for 4l60e cooler line AN adapters..

the 241C will be on the market soon.

I'm guessing from the numbers the 80e is from the early yrs (1997). So i'm guessing this will bolt up and work. I'm going to get the 32 spline input for my 246 and go from there. so should I see any problems from the 97 80e?

Where in D-ville are you at? I might be able to give you some help if time and schedule permits, if not I can at least point you in the right direction. BTW, this is the cheapest I've found the 32 spline input for a 246 is on ebay and I also got the -6 an fittings from there as well. Figure out what year the tranny is, that will determine cooler fittings iirc since later used the long snout rear cooler fitting. I'm in Dallas now but I grew up off the back side of Hwy 5.

The 80e NSS has two plugs and the one on my 60e has one. will The 60e NSS work on the 80e with out a ton of rewiring?

also, whats the best on the trans tune? the segment swap or the rewire and use the 60e tune?

I also seen a thread somewhere on others cross member mods, I can't seem to find it anywhere anyone know the link, or dose someone sell them after market?

I have read tons of thread on the tru-cool. I have one. is it best to by pass the radiator? If I do what is used to plug the holes that the lines are in on the radiator? the tru cool has a in and out so it shouldn't matter what trans line goes to what side should it?

Finally got the 80 in and running. I had to have another front DS built with a smaller OD to make it past the linkage and shorten the rear 2 inches. The wiring was fairly simple. Changing the input shaft in the transfer case was not as bad as I thought it would have been.
Now, it is is and ruining this thing shifts hard as all get out in 1-2 2-3 3-4 then convert locks and holds nice and easy.. The segment swap still is set at all factory setting. any ideas to what can make this thing shift so hard.

on the VSS dose the wires matter to what side they go on the main ecu plug? I know the location in the plug but should one go to the left or right or vise versa?
