My 1993 80e swap with the stock selector works perfectly.

Setup was veeeeeery picky. It took time for there to be just a tiny bit of tension when in park so that the RND123 all were hit perfectly. I had to pull back on the lever while setting the cable.

This damn thing:

That is the cable adjuster, my understanding is youre supposed to pull the cover back, pull the grey tab out and with trans and shifter in park, squeeze the two sides together and then release them and its supposed to adjust... Havent had a chance to mess with mine and last cable adjustment i did was when i installed a new cable into a trailblazer a few weeks ago, but it had a different adjuster on it..

Yes it is. Have a cookie.

Its got a ton of range to dial things in.

Its also great at getting dirt in your face when you set it.

The cable adjuster is how my trans shop set my 80E shifter. I got it from them the first time and complained that the shift range wasn't hitting Park and Neutral was not quite perfect either. Tech said "watch this" and jumped under the truck, doodled with the cable adjuster a moment, then said "see how you like that". It landed all the positions perfectly after that.
