only if you are willing to pay $40K+ for a midsized pickup

although it would be a KILLER, but we all know that GM refuses to produce anything that cool

the guy who owns the dyno shop i use has the new GMC sierra with the 6.2L and the 6L80E-ECSB. with a CAI and his on custom tune he ran just under 14.1 but he has had a consistant problem with the 2-3 shift slipping, even though he has tuned it to shift as hard as the stock tranny can. he likes the truck but speakes lowly of the 6L80E as far as racing goes. i guess he has to pedal the throttle during the 2-3 shift otherwise it slips and bounces of the rev limiter.

When you say he "has it tuned to shift as hard as the stock tranny can" what do you mean by that? Does he have the shift pressure turned up, and if so, to what level? I am going to try logging my shifts this weekend because I am having a similar problem with bouncing off the rev limiter.

Does this mean that there are actually going to be a lot of parts out there to carry over from Fords to ours? Will they bolt right up physically?
