Default 6L80e slipping or tuning?

Got my truck dynoed the other day, put down 450 rwhp and 450 ft lbs. Anyways any part throttle(1/4 - 3/4 she works fine, except switching form 5th to 6th) and at wot 3-4 shift 4-5th 5th-6th itll grab right away and eventually when the rpm, gets up to 6000 rpm itll hold it right there for 2 seconds then finally shift and excelerate, is the trans slipping or is it a tuning issue? My tuner said it takes a bit for the 6L80e to go through its entire relearn process before it starts shifting perfect again, usually a few days?

I had the same issue every now and then, just one of the things the 6l80e does I think. What are your shift points at? The 6l80e is wierd I felt at times that the next run it was def gonna go but held every gear every time. It doesn't just learn once either. Every time you turn your truck off and go to turn it back on the first few times it goes through the gears you will feel a little "slip" type feel, its just learning.

adaptive feature of the trans could be part of it, but why at wide open would it slip like that? there shouldn't be a delay at wot, or a dead spot in the shift. even stock they don't do it.

have your tuner do a fast adapt relearn in hpt

I guess I jumped the gun, as of yesterday afternoon it got alot lot better, instead of taking 2 seconds to shift, it takes probably half-1 second, and keeps improving!

The only time I manual shift is if I am roll racing. It's WAY to slow of a response to even consider from a dig.

HP tuners has a fast learn procedure they really speeds up the learning process after a trans table change

same here but the first 3days when i was NA it did that while manually shifting untill i got the hang of it lol even from a roll lets say 20mph as soon as 2nd comes in i go up to "D" vs shifting every gear this keeps me from redlineing it

Can you simply disable the adaptive learning without destroying the transmission.

What does the damm thing need to learn everything it needs to know should be pre programmed in the tables already right?
