Default 80e converter

Is there a descent stall converter for the 80e in the 5 to $600 price range?

We can make a HD version of the stock converter. Add some billet pieces and a carbon lock up clutch. We can also use the higher stall OE version. What stall range are you looking for?

Can't go that high with the OE 13". Need to got to a 258mm/10.25" and that requires a custom billet front. So the price goes up to $775 for a single disk. Sorry.

The old mid 90s G vans had an option of a 4.3 liter and 4L80E for some rediculous reason. From what I've read in that vintage the 80e had three stall speeds available; a low stall for diesel and big blocks, a mid range stall for the 350 possibly the 305 too, and a high stall for the 4.3 liter. It may stall higher but you are still limited by the huge weight of the stock 13 inch converters. I don't want to spend a grand on a converter at this point so I just deal with the insanely tight diesel/big block converter and enjoy the launch forward when it slams into 2nd.

I have an Art Carr 9 1/2 inch 2800-3000 stall. I used it in the truck in sig as a daily driver for almost 3 years. It has been rebuilt and is still in the box.Asking 450.00 plus shipping.

I would never run a stock 4l80e stall.
