Question 80e cooler lines

i want to get rid of the quick connect lines on my 2002 80e. anybody know if the threads are metric or sae? i want to go to 3/8 hydraulic hose. thanks.

The threads are similar to 3/8" NPT, but they are not tapered. They are a special straight-threaded o-ring type fitting. Also, the connector in the rear of the transmission protrudes inside the case to the center support to lubricate the two rear differentials, sun shafts and associated bearings.

It's not quite as simple as it looks.
