I think I did a long turbo 400 yoke and cut off around 5/8th of an inch.

i had a short th400 yoke my first go around and it vibrated very badly. Found out it was due to the splines inside the yoke were back about an inch from the end. So this made the yoke only catch right at the end of the output shaft of the trans. Swapped over to a long stock 4l80e yoke and cut an inch off. Works great. Also, check and make sure the bushin inside the tailshaft housing is still good. That will make one vibrate around also.

Just my experience. Learn the hard way some times.
