Default 8100 burban. what trans?

So i know the 2500-3500 trucks with the big block 8100 have the allison trans but what do the Burbans come with? Remember GM says the reason we cant get a diesel burb is because there i no room for the allison.

THanks
Shawn

If it's relatively newer, you get the 85e, a slightly upgraded 80e, but both take more abuse than you can dish out stock. Else yea, it's the 80e.
Yea, to fit the allison, it'd need a 2" body spacer.

It is definately a 4L85-E. The two rear planetaries have 5 pinions in them.

The 2500 Avalanche has the same transmission.
