89 gmc traction, how to?
So my truck doesn't get traction to save my life, I'm wanting to change that.
Future plans involve a 4 link set up but my budget isn't going to allow that for quite some time.
So I was thinking of removing the helper leaf, and installing a set of Caltracs, I'm sure someone has already done this what were your results?
Also what shocks should I be looking at for a dual duty daily/track truck?

traction
I put on the Cal-Trac's, what a diff, truck used to hop up
and down like a Rabbit. also added a set of Nitto 555 extremes.
255x45x18, they really helped to. also check your pinion angle
to see if it's right. should be 2 to 4 deg down. how old are your
springs and shocks ? they make a big diff.

I'm assuming the springs and shocks are original equipment, I heard morose trick Springs and loosening the a arms with removing the helper spring and new shocks is the way to go, I just don't want it to loose drivability at highway speeds to get it to hook from a stop
