Did you personally do the swap??? Was wondering if you might enlighten us on how easy or hard that part may have been. I haven't seen one yet in person but was thinking about the same swap. I may use an earlyier housing so I will have to redo everything... But I look at the offset in cost to justify the work.

My friend (a mechanic) and I did it. It was not hard. I would look for the newer style rear end. It is essentially a bolt in swap. The only part I had to buy was the conversion u-joint. The brakes bolted right up (they sit at a slight angle) and so did the emergency cables.
FYI - I paid $650 plus shpping for the rear end. It ended up costing about $850 to my door.
Sorry for the hi-jack Colby.

The rearend left the salvage yard in OK City yesterday...so no way to take pics. But he guaranteed the rearend matched the VIN, and the dealership confirmed the 9.5" to the VIN. I'll get the VIN and double check that as well.
So, I'm figuring I've got a 9.5" en route. If not, shame on me for not asking for a "cover shot"...but lets think positive!!
