Default 9.5'' 14 bolt option AXN Swap

Bought the rear axle assembly out a wrecked 2006 SS (51,000 miles). How easily will the brakes from my rear axle swap over or do I need to go buy all new brakes and hardware because it has none coming with it? Also, has anyone figured out the parking brake dilemma when performing this swap?

Your brakes will all swap over just fine. Parking brake will work fine when you swap everything over. I think all that is different is that is about .5" longer in the front than the 10 bolt.

Well since you didn't tell us what you have, Assuming you have a 2005 Silverado by your username.

The Drum Brakes would be exactly the same as what came on the AXN rear end.

The only difference is that the drive shaft on the AXN optioned truck would be 5/8'' or .625 shorter than the same truck with a 10 bolt.
