99 4.8 mated to t56
I currently have a 6.0 liter with a t56 in a 99 truck. It originally had a 4.8. I want to put the 4.8 back in so I can drive it this summer and save on gas....while freshening the 6.o.
What mods am I looking at?
I cant remember...lol
I have a 02 clutch and flywheel out of a vette in the truck right now. I also am using a vette slave cylinder.
I know the crank sticks out father on the 4.8.
Is it a direct bolt in?

The 99 4.8's had a thicker crank flange. There was a guy on here a looong time ago that got it done with a T56 but it required some kind of goofy spacer bewtixt the bell housing and the trans. It'd be easier just to grab a new 4.8 from a junk yard for $200 since they can't even give them away.
