As for clutch the LUK oem style is a beast I put 30k of supercharged abuse onto one and it still looked good when I pulled it. I've been known to be a little rough on drive train parts. But the centerforce dual friction single disk is also pretty sweet if you want an upgrade.

Zebra- Can't believe you fixed that shifter I really hated it kept missing third it was looser than my ex.

yeah, the transmission has a removable top piece that contains the shift rails/forks. they made 3 versions (round shifter mount for dodge, short square shifter mount for GMT400 & later dodges, and tall square shifter mount for GMT 800 HDs)

well i ain't quite sure how your ex compares... but your mom was right on par with how loose that unit when you shipped it my way. good thing the fix was just as easy as your mom, too.

My mother has been in the hospital since Friday with brain tumor complications........

Didn't actually know that about the top piece I must have a gmt400 in the Tahoe and the taller in the silverado.

Yes she is actually in the hospital with a brain tumor. But according to the media that's better than getting COVID.

sorry man... i'll be praying for her.
and will add you to the list. i can't count how many times i've had to stop myself from inadvertently rattling off a mom joke to my wife (died when she was 14).

but yeah, the lids are interchangeable between transmission bodies.

I might try to find only of those shorter lids that little bit would really help with lining the trans back up with the engine.

Always been jealous of people who had good "Yo momma come backs" so I had to seize the opportunity.
