Default A4 to T56 = same driveshaft?

If I remember correctly, when guys did A4 to T56 swaps in F-bodies, they always reused the stock (length at least) driveshaft. Is my memory correct?

Just checking so I KNOW weather I need a new driveshaft or not. Some time I want to get an aluminum driveshaft (stock preferably) to replace the steel unit, but money is a bit tight right now.

Thanks

And I almost forgot...it only applies to f-body T56's. I think the GTO variants are tad longer and they require a different yoke.
