Default Ability to retain factory gear indicator with ratchet shifter?

Has anyone installed a ratchet shifter setup and was able to retain the factory gear indication in the gauge cluster? Wondering if and how it can be done.

If you're able to keep the neutral safety switch with your ratchet shifter then you should be able to keep the dash display

Yeah I did the B&M truck megashifter and the factory PRNDL switch on the side of the transmission keeps the gear selector indicators just like factory. If it's an older truck (you didn't post year) with a non electronic transmission they give you a mechanical indicator option and micro switches for the neutral safety in the shifter box.

Is all the wiring for the megashifter done through the PRNDL switch?

Correct nothing on the shifter, except of course the shift cable.

Nice setup! Did you make that bracket for the shifter to sit on?

It comes with the "Truck/SUV" Megashifter (part number 80680). It lifts the shifter and also gives it the perfect angle so the shift handle will clear the jump seat on the GMT-800 trucks. If you choose to do the 03+ console (gut out) mod it needs only a few spacers to clear the console's lid.

Id be curious what you had to do to the cup holder. I have the same console in my 2000 Sierra and I would love to have a floor shift in it.
