With the HD-2 kit you will not need any accumulator springs. We get calls all the time about harsh 1-2 shifts when guy's buy kits from our competitors. Keep in mind that you will not get any technical assistance when you purchase a kit from them. It might be cheaper than ours but when you have a problem your pretty much on your own or you will need to call trans-go. Good luck. Vince

Um... if my memory is correct, doesn't the HD2 come with the recommended hardware from Transgo? I'll have to go and look at the instructions, but I didn't buy anything outside of what came with that. One thing you'll want to remember is DO NOT INSTALL MORE THAN ONE WASHER! ...at least not for a DD. Shifts are way too firm for DD use.

Man, this guys knows his stuff doesn't he!?! Exactly what he said. If you keep your 1-2 accum set up same as stock with the aluminum piston your shifts will be very tolerable around town and still firm when you get into it.

sorry about digging up an old thread but I just installed a the hd-2 kit in a my new tranny which I have not put in the truck yet. I set it up according to the instructions but i did not use ANY washers, how would you think this will shift? It went together quite different from how I pulled it apart, the piston is flipped over and there is now springs in each side of it - according to the transgo instructions. Should I put one washer in? Truck is a daily driver and i dont want it to shift overly aggressive. I also have a 2500 stall which will be going in with this tranny.
