Alignment specs?
Hey guys,
I just spoke with the local guy who will align my front end on Friday, and he mentioned that often the faculty specs won't get the job done once you've lowered the truck past a certain point.
I put 2" spindles on and 3" keys and have dropped it pretty low in the front. The rear is dropped 4" with hangers and shackles.
Does anyone have some decent alignment specs? Tires for this beast are expensive

You should be fine with the factory specs...your truck's an SS correct? I can't remember exactly, but I know that the factory calls for a bunch of positive caster, up to -.6* camber, and I think around 0 toe. Getting as much negative camber that you can without smoking the tires is desired for better cornering characteristics. I'm using the SS factory camber spec (-.6 on one side and -.5 on the other), and so far my tire wear is dead even.
Sometimes with wider tires, some guys like to adjust the toe in a tad to allow the front tires to turn easier, but this can get tricky as outer edge wear can occur....I'd play it safe and go with the factory spec there.
As for caster, the more positive, the more the vehicle will follow the road and be affected by road crown, potholes, etc, but you get a much better steering feel with positive caster. As I mentioned, I can't remember the factory caster spec, but I know that it's quite positive, and again, I'd go with it.
