All Addco rear swaybar guys in here please
I installed my rear swaybar without any problems but wanted to ask you guys about the end link bolts. I have a 2wd with stock rear suspension, no drop or shackles. However, it just didn't look right with the longer bolts installed so I used the shorter ones. I thought the longer bolts were for the stock suspension guys and the shorter ones are for the dropped trucks. Can someone advise? Also, I like the bar itself, HOWEVER the hardware in the kit is ****. I had to get LONGER u bolts, bend open the c-clamps, and then when you put the brackets together they all want to come apart. It would have been nice to tack weld them all together at least. If any of you guys are going to install one of these, get a friend so you don't hit yourself in the face like I did.

I'm not sure about the longer/shorter bolt dilemma, but I do know that you should tighten the bolts with the wheels on the ground. If anything, I'd think that the shorter bolts would allow for less flex and a more positive reaction.

I used the longer bolts with mine. I'm 2WD and they looked fine. The hardware is crap. That's one of the reasons I always tell people to go with with one of the other swaybar companies.
Now, they are borderline too long with the 2" drop shackles I put on.

From what i read the short ones are for stock ride height, the longer ones are for lifted trucks. I am going to shorten mine cause i am lowered 4 inches in the rear.
Oh and i agree the hardware sucks.

+1, the hardware is **** in this kit....... Well, I got the shorter of the 2 bolts on and it seems to work fine so I guess I shouldn't worry. I think you're right bud, the shorter of the two bolts should allow the bar to work stiffer.

When i read this thread i went and checked on mine, well the stupid C looking braces were almost falling out, so i welded then to the flat bracket that the Ubolt goes threw, then i cut down the spacers inbetween the rubber gromets to about 1.25 inches... The sway bar sits nice and level now, it was pointing downwards... Here are a few pics.
I still need to do a little adjustments on the back brackets to get them more inline and I have to fab up some new exhaust cause the end links were hitting it... I wanted to do some new exhaust anyways...

Whoah corey yours looks completly different than mine (I'll take pics tomorrow and share). I tightened the **** out of the nuts that go onto the u-bolts that go over the frame crossmember. This causes the bracket to open up and bite into the crossmember (same goes for the axle as well). Secondly, my swaybar mounts under the axle and not behind it like yours does. At any rate, I understand yours is modified for your drop but I wonder if you're getting the full function from yours. I'll share pics of my setup tomorrow as it's dark outside now.
