Really? Well if i remember the instruction did not say, I think i found a post of another member's sway bar and that is why i mounted it like that. Oh well i don't think it makes a difference...

if you mount it the other way the end links should be straight, not angled down and would make it handle better

Also your swaybar shouldn't be mounting on the rear of the axle, it should be on the bottom or underside of the axle. This will allow you access to the cover bolts and also not make the end links go out at an angle. You'll see
