Default Allison 1000 with LS engine?

I was wondering if there is a way to utilize a Allison 1000 five or six speed transmission with a LS series motor? As far as a controller goes PCS's website says they have one in development, besides that is there another standalone controller that can be used for that transmission.

The trans controller is going to be the hard part, but i believe EFI live lets you tune the trans, but as far as physically bolting up i would think it would work cuz you can get an 8.1 with an allie.

So efi live can be used for programing the factory transmission controller on the Allison, if that's the case, the next thing is trying to figure out how to mate the harness together.

40% paracitic loss seems unreasonable, the d-max makes 300hp at the crank, on a dyno they make from 230-250hp.

The New LBZ is 360 hp at the motor/ 650 ftlbs, and are dynoing at 305-310 rwhp and 600-610 rwtq, thats going thru the allie, T-case, and that 14 bolt rear end. I dont think the power consumption will be a factor especially for the added strength and gearing youll get. Go to the dieselplace.com and look at the Allison section, you can contact Mike L from inglewood transmission, he is the respected Allie man there.

It would be trick, no doubt, but if you needed the ability to hold power over and above the capacity of a built 80e, you probably aren't too concerned about having the extra o/d gears for mileage.

How much power will a gear vendors overdrive hold?

My next truck will be a Diesel, you guys have all the fun with overbuilt stuff from the factory. Unfortunately that probably won't happen until 2015 or so.
