aluminum accumulators vs pinless ones?
So I purchased from Ebay two items.
FORWARD CLUTCH ALUMINUM ACCUMULATOR PISTON
As well as a:
1-2 ALUMINUM ACCUMULATOR PISTON SMALL PIN
How do these differ from the Pinless ones I see from here:
77987-02K 4L60E Pinless Forward Accumulator Piston
And this:
77998-03K 700R4, 4L60E 1-2, 3-4 Pinless Accumulator Piston Kit
Being that I purchased at least aluminum versions to replace the plastic ones in the tranny, am I losing anything by sticking with these units vs the pinless ones?

No, you are not losing anything by sticking with the pinned ones.
The pinless ones were designed for worn acc. bodys. They are self centering, using 2 seals.
The pinned ones use the pin to center them, and only have 1 seal.
You will be fine with the ones you bought.
