Default aluminum driveshaft on NNBS

How fast have you guys taken GM's fatty 5" aluminum driveshaft? I've heard 100+ is a no-go...I've been to 120 with mine. Little scared that it'll randomly pop at the track...

I did 120 once on the freeway. My cousin snapped his driveshaft at 105, and my buddy snapped his at 90.

You never know when it'll snap but 100 usually seems about the limit.

95mph is all I will do. it vibrates if I go faster. It's also my DD so I can't afford for it to break.

i think i went 130-140 on mine once lol (speedometer said 4500 rpm @120 and took it till it shifted into 5th so ima say 130-140 )but i lowered it a lil more since then and i think my pinion angle is a lil outa place so now it starts to vibrate some at 110-115 so thats my limit now...but yes i was a lil dumber then and wasnt aware of how often these things break

I was planning on a visit to the track tomorrow, but with the turbo on now I'm sure I'll be passing a few of these danger zones. So I guess thats out lol.
Has anyone done a one piece replacement on the NNBS? Something just a little more durable?

I've been to 130-140 about 4 or 5 times not knowing anything about this problem. Mine vibrates at 100 accelerating and decelerating when it crosses 100. Guess I'v been really lucky.
What kind of damage you guys taking when it goes?

i wonder if you have the same driveshaft as my reg cab long bed. 72" long 5" diameter. ive had mine at a 100 for about a half hour straight. and a couple times to 110 ish no faster. a big factor is what rear gears you have. ive got 3.73's
