Am I the only one who hates DDing a stall?

I totally agree on the fun part Madmann, except i think what me, the OP, and others feel is that we are out of the throttle cruising our DD 90% of the time and matting the throttle 10% or so .. so for me i hate a stall in a DD. Ive owned Circle D, Yank, Vig and a few others.. but yes for a weekend toy or something im all for it.. maybe im just getting old.. With my Denali for example im going stock stall, full boltons, baby cam (215/227) maybe some 3.73s, and maybe a Positive diplacement blower.

I just put a Phoenix 10.5" 2,600 in my 4L80E in my Express behind my 350. I personally like the converter, it unloads the engine and lets me use less throttle to accelerate. A little more RPM, but less throttle and less load. With my shift point/lockup settings I am in lockup by 30 mph in 2nd gear under light throttle acceleration. I would have liked a little higher stall speed, but the marine cammed 496 big block will soon take care of that for me.

I had a 2,600 stall in mine and went to a 3,200 Circle-D Pro III. Lot soggier. Even with 4.88 gears it's mushy. Yeah the truck is an animal off the line but as something I road trip a lot it's rough getting use to.
