Default Another 4l80 rebuild...only difference this is mine!

Alright well let me start by saying I have limited knowledge on transmissions, but I have done a lot of reading and looking at various build threads. Well today I got a wild hair and disassembled my 4l80 in efforts to get ready to rebuild It with a stage 4 jakes kit. Here are a few pics of the internals. I think overall it was pretty good, the fluid was clean no gunk in the pan. What do yall think?

Slap that thing back together and run it! Haha

Looks like a great rebuild candidate.

Well I would but the problem is I don't think it would hold 1000 hp/tq very long lol

Dont know whats in jakes kits but my understanding is theyre fairly well documented.... If i was planning on anywhere close to hp yall are i would consider spending the 700+ on one of his kits, but my little 400-425rwhp goal doesnt need all that, stock rebuild with some extras should be good for mine, then again i did a bunch of mods to my 60 (ill be swapping in tomorrow night) that are probably overkill!!

This will be my first trans rebuild so hope it goes well. I like the idea of paying 1600 for the rebuild kit vs the 4k+ for the trans

Good point.... Sadly thats probably about what i have in my 60.... But i also have another trans i can build (if i can get off my butt and get ahold of a pump for it) that i can sell and get some of it back.... Although i plan on putting some of the extra parts ive bought into the 60 in my yukon....
