Ok so I got my DJM c-notch kit . Should I attempt this my self or pay someone to do it. I consider my self somewhat mechanically inclined but have never attempted this. I live in a small town and its hard to find someone to do it. I really dont know what to expect, where should i put the jackstands, Ive been told put them under the frame near the cab and put my jack near the back somewhere. Does the frame flex at all when the cuts are made?

Not to discourage your diy ability, because they are easy to instal, but i have heard alot of bad things about the djm notches, mostly that they arent the strongest out there and i have seen a few photos proving that. the belltech and mcgaughys are favored over the djm.

I've had djm c-notches on my truck for eight years and have had no problems whatsoever. My truck regularly goes through rough roads and has seen some pretty heavy hauling so I can vouch for the integrity of their kits.
As stated above, the kits are not hard to install, but be careful, take your time, and make sure to support the frame in the right spots.
