Default Another G80 bites the dust...also a TRANSMISSION

...and took my gears with it. Swapping in a true trac, new gears. Sad night at the track lol.

Funny thing is I wasn't even moving, I was brake stalled trying to build boost to activate meth. Nasty bang from the rear end and the driver side tire was locked.

Will get pics up soon...

Ran a 13.8 before the rear end took a ****. Came out of the hole like a grandma, scared to rip up the drive shaft... Guess I had other stuff to worry about.

After tearing it apart its pretty evident it has had wear problems for some time... I heard a small clank after turning into the return road and thought it might have thrown a weigh off the shaft.

Ended up trailering the truck to a friends house. Had to winch it and the locked up rear end onto the trailer...hectic night.

I will post pics when we are finished with the diff swap.

Update...the carrier bearings are for an 8.5, I need the 8.6s. It was the true trac my buddy had ready to put into his rear end this weekend, so since the bearings are already pressed on I'm just going to leave them. No sense in ripping them off since I need to wait for parts anyway.

That said, I need a true trac, carrier bearings and a shim kit, and anything else recommended for the install. I know there is a sponsor on this site for differentials and whatnot, I need to buy one ASAP. I think the sponsor's name is Rick, not sure though. Anybody know for a fact who that sponsor is?

I'll post pics as soon as I can, thanks for your patience
