as the title says, the 60e bit the dust today. 1st gear is fine, takes a while to shift into second. second gear slip bad with anything more than 1/4 throttle. i have 3rd and od, which also slip. Definetly not good timing right after christmas, a 5 day cruise to mexico, and my sons birthday party. But i cant complain that my bone stock 60e that doesnt have an aftermarket cooler, shift kit, or servos, lasted 145k miles. been cammed and stalled since 125k miles, and has had a couple of bottles through it at the track. the truck will probably be down a month or so until i get me a pb lvl 2 and a new 3600 circle d converter...

that is impressive! how much of a shot were you running? what was your best time at the track with a stock trans? I bet you will pick up a few tenths with a built trans....

I am running a 100 shot. Best time so far is a 8.40 @ 87 2.3 60' in 3000' da with terrible track prep and 750 lbs on the bottle. I haven't got the caltracs dialed in yet. I will pick up over .5 sec just with good track prep
