Default another trans temp gauge question...

I tried adding the factory trans temp gauge to my existing 99 cluster and the gauge is not reading anything. I do believe the gauge is getting power as the needle "pulls" to 100* when the ignition is turned on. It was 85* on my way home from work and I have a 25 mile drive so I figured it should have read something. I compared the circuit board of my 99 with the donor gauge panel and added(soldered in) the additional jumpers and components that were missing from the 99 cluster. What am I missing? Does anyone have a schematic of the cluster itself? Thanks.

Here's the only thing I found in my BRIEF search. * see attachments*

If I find something else, I'll post up.

Should be just a straight solder on. Was in my case.

KySilverado, you're an 03, different cluster. 1BADC10, what year was you're schematic from? I hooked up the laptop last night after work and I am getting a temperature reading through the scanner, so my issues are with the cluster.

The schematic I posted led me to believe that there is a pass-through signal sent to the cluster. I'm not sure of the entire path that sensored signal passes through. I'll try to spend some time looking for this after work today to find the wiring diagram from the PCM to the cluster connector. I know I have the diagrams saved somewhere at home. That may help. The info I provided is for a '00 5.3L-powered Silvy. Should be the same (or VERY similar depending on options) for '99 - '02 models. I'm no GM engineer, so I cannot gaurantee that.

Yep, I looked at the IC schematic for mine. Completely different. Mine is all driven off the data bus.
