Default Any interest in bringing the Hotchkis sway bar kit back GMT800 trucks???

These kits have been discontinued for a while for our trucks.

I contacted them to see what a new production run would take. I was told I would have to do a production run of at least 25.

I asked the SS guys earlier this week and not 1 person was interested. I tried to see if I could get a smaller production run but they said no. So today I asked if they could possibly split the production run into 4WD/AWD kits and 2WD kits. They said it might be possible.

They were discontinued around 5 years ago and the inventory they did have was all blown out at discount pricing.

The kits would be a front and rear bar with standard hardware.

Last known price was $618 and would be subject to review before production starts.

So If I were to step up and make this happen would anyone be interested in purchasing one? If so 2WD or 4WD?

The Hotchkis kit clears after market rear covers as well as after market exhaust kits.

I have been told the DJM's don't clear Corsa or Magnaflow exhaust kits. I have been told Belltech rear hits too at least with the Corsa and does not clear aftermarket diff covers.

I have Magnaflow kit so that's not going to work for me.

The Poll will only be open for 120 days to see how much interest there is as well as what type of kits to have made.

They say they are for stock exhaust in the rear... I am Not a fan of the grey hammer tone finish either.

I'd be interested in a kit for a 2wd.

FWIW... as a data point, I recently installed the Hellwig 7800, gray hammertone finish on my '00 Silverado 4x4 with Flowmaster catback duals out the sides and a girdled rear cover, full size spare in place. Bolted right up. I even followed the directions.... Fitment couldn't be better.

I'm getting ready to install the front bar to replace the OEM when I do Atomic's coilover conversion in the spring.

Thanks for the input.

Do you have a complete aftermarket cat back exhaust or just the muffler???

Is the hellwig solid or hollow???

A friend installed the Belltech front and was not satisfied with the results. He said it felt too stiff. After speaking with there tech support they say it was designed as a package to go with their heavier spring rate drop springs. I am not dropped and I have torsion bars, not springs.

Personally, I Just like the Quality of the product.

I would like to have a little better control over my tank of a truck. A couple of times I have some close calls and these things can get away from you fast.

Then there is the occasional Idiot that thinks that trucks are always slow... Trucks may not be sports car's but But I sure do beat on it like one...

I found my old adjustable shocks did wonders over the sway bars

I am sure it will help when I switch to coilovers.
