Here is a post from GM-Trucks that may help you out with the emergency brake shoe replacement. It is from May 30 2004 but explains the shoe replacement and the new spring clip retainer. Long post!

When sqeezing the calipers back in to fit the new pads around the rotors, make sure you open up your bleeders to let all that fluid out. I've always done it that way and its supposed to be better for the system. Top off the reservoir too.

On my front calipers the Torx screw was extremely tight on their. I used one of those manual impact hammers (hit it and it rotates) to get it off, took a lot of time and mucho muscle. Be prepared for it. All my bolts were extremely tight.

Thanks guys last thinkg I need to know is what size that torx screw is, I gotta pick one up.
