Default Anybody with hotchkis suspenion...

I have 2" springs in the front and 4" springs in back. I want alittle more drop in the back. I was considering using a 2" drop shackle. If it gets to low in back I would probably go with 1" drop lower control arms as well in the front.

Just wondering if someone else has done this with success... if I do I would probably have to change the pinion angle a little.

I have seen people talk about going lower and already having the hotchkis kit, but can't recall anyone actually doing it. Do they make a 1" drop arm? Just get 2" control arms or spindles, and a shackle and notch kit for a 4/6

Yeah, you'd need a notch if you went any lower out back. Also, I think someone out there makes a 1" drop shackle if you're concerned about it being too low with the regular 2" drop shackle.

Personally, I'd use a drop spindle before a drop control arm any day of the week, but all the drop spindles I've seen only come in the 2" variety.

mine is an ecsb but i have 3" eibach springs in the front, 4" springs in the back with 2" shackles and aftermarket overloads strapped to the top with a c-notch for about a 3/5 drop but i have never changed the pinion angle.

mine is all peiced together because i lowered it 3 times until i got it to where it is now (and i still want to go lower)

i have 4" hotchkis leaf springs in the back... and it was to high.... so i dropped it one more inch using the 1" mark on my 2" shackles then i put caltracs on and it lifted the back up more so now i have it on the 2" mark of the shackles... shes all good now.. so i have a 2/6 drop... and my frame sits about 1 inch from the axle.. but the caltracs make the back so stiff it doesnt hit.. unless i put 4-500 lbs back there...

the picture in my sig doesnt do it justice its lower than that.. but yea.. i need a C-notch
