Anybody know how to calculate drivetrain loss?

Default Anybody know how to calculate drivetrain loss?

2wd 5.3L 1500 extcab 4L60e 3.42s and 20" around 31" with tire 83lbs with tire

I was guessing around 25% what do yall think?

For a 60e I've heard that you divide rwhp by .85 to get hp at the crank.

both haha
The truck made 281rwhp and 336rwtq before the cam swap. Trying to figure out what my hp at the fly wheel is. The tune for the cam was not done on a dyno so this summer I am going to strap it on the dyno and see what the cam did for it.

I know stock wheels vs my heavy 20" would give back another 10-15rw

It begins with this equation:

F(t) = mx"+bx'+kx

How accurate do you want to get? lol

350ish fly wheel hp.. take 20% from that gives you the rwhp or close.

So that means the tq was around 420tq Im guessing my 210/218 .584/.584 116lsa gained around 40rwhp hp dont know about tq gains seems like my lil 5.3L was maxed out on tq before the cam

Put it on an engine dyno corrected to a standard. Install engine in truck measure power corrected to same standard. Difference is drivetrain loss.

Without doing this, it is very hard to actually measure beyond guessing.
