you hit that one right on the head! i didnt wanna say it but to get my screen out i have to drop it all the way into 1st. i dont have to manually shift it all the time. leave it in D, and if i wanna mess around, then i can shift. it is a normal ratchet shifter, had one in my 72 blazer. kinda fun. but no, definiatly cant lose them cup holders. gotta makem bigger too, so they will SAFELY hold the Big Gulp on these hopefully soon to be "Launches" that is if i can ever figure out what to do. i hate not having a computer or a phone....

Man, this has been posted about a few times. If you actually do it....please take some pics and maybe a write up about it. FWIW, I looked and everything that B&M has for a 4L60E is designed to work with a stand alone unit controlling the tranny. I'd really love to put a floor shift in mine as well, but haven't really done any research to see what all it would take.

well, not to try to keep up with the jones (only the poor kids in the house get that joke) but i have seen it done up nice in a 2003 Dakota R/T. it looked F-ing killer, and the dreaded RED BUTTON on the shifter **** was for the tow/haul mode. good looking and functional, but if it is possible i will do it. but someone has to lend me a camera for the pics... and a computer.

DakotaKiller,

I havnt had a chance to fab it up, the setup, yet, I am having to put it on the back burner right now..
I plan on doing this just cant swing it right now...
let me know what you come up with,
maybe we can compare notes.
