suburbazine, i got a quick off topic question you might have the answer to. my ecu is from a suburban and has a drop down option in the transmission choices which includes the 4l60e and the 4l80e when i use my hptuners. does this mean i don't have to do a segment swap on my ecu to run the 80e trans. just correct harness and option then tuning?

You can either run the 80E on the 60E tune with the correct harness modifications or you can get HPtuners Support to do a segment swap on your tune and use the ISS sensor. I don't know if the HPtuners software is able to segment swap correctly.

I went with Frost's 2 Relay Conversion Kit so I can keep my 60E tune. Plus it was a lot easier than doing harness work myself.

I looked at their parts list and I looked at their warranty...while I think they are legit, I don't see how those parts will make a 60E live for 1 year at 750HP. Heck, I see no mention of input shaft or output shaft upgrades.
I would say they are prob looking at most of those 60's going into a car( much less weight) In a car they will last. Big trucks kill them unless you can get it down under 4k, still it is risky. I am very happy, fortunate to have my Pbuilt lvl2 last for 3+ years behind a boost built 6.0 ( keeping fingers crossed)

I had 500hp going through a stock 125k mile 4L60E with only a shift kit and servo. Over 100+ passes and daily abuse. Not one issue. Truck weight 4,300lbs.

Your other posts said 400rwhp, I dunno about that actually being 500 crank.

What was the engine setup? Tq and max rpm are major players in the life of a 60e.

For what it's worth I did push my built 65e pretty hard and never had a failure. It's now a garage ornament.

now looking into converters, my current converter stalls at 2300rpm idk what it is since PO built the truck. im guessing i can stick with a stall around there and up for my cam. its a comp xer273. i'm assuming my best rout is to go with circle d but im wondering how this converter might do. would a circle d converter perform $200 better?

I don't like the look of those welds in their picture lol. Circle-D is top notch work and I'd say the $200 is cheap insurance against a balloon or kaboom.
