Anyone have pics...
I ahve a 2005 Tahoe Z-71 and I'm considering getting 285/70-17's put on the stock rims. Does anyone have pictures of their Tahoe/truck with this sized tire and without a lift? I just want to make sure that I don't spend $1000 to look stupid. Thanks.

well, they are oversized tires, typically, people try to maintain wheel/tire combos that belong together...
...that being said, IF you can find a shop that will install them (the 285 usually requires a wider than stock rim, but some will do it) your truck will lift up an inch or so, due to the tire height, and the wheels will look a bit swollen (due to the smaller rim). I put 285's on an 84 Silverado (rear only) that I had a while back (don't judge, it was 2wd, and I was in desperate need of traction). They fit, but I didn't try them on the front, so I not sure if you will have rubbing issues when you turn. If you do, you can trim the plastic in the wheel well a bit, and the rubbing will go away. It'll look just fine, don't be scared, be the first.
Hope that helps...post up some pics.

Incase anyone was interested. I posted the picture in the other thread I started too.
I think the tires look perfect! This is the size that the factory should have put on it. Here is a picture of it. It's not a great picture because I took it with my cell phone.
