Default anyone out there w/ a lowered 2500 4x4

Anyone out there with a lowered 2500 4x4. I am looking at a 2500 4x4 and would like to lower it, a mild drop to bring it down a little. Any advice as to what components to go with. If anyone has any pics of a lowered 2500 that would be great, it'll give me an idea of what mine will look like. Any info/advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

Cool

I dropped mine 3/5 using McGaughys kit #2500HD23E. I found with less than 3" of clearance between the frame and the axle that the truck would bang on some bumps and dips. I cured this by adding Air Rides - Air Over Leaf air bags kit #ARK4900 in front of the axle. This position adds some traction control and reduces wheel hop and I did not have room for them behind the axle anyway. I also added some 4* pinion angle shims between the axle spring mounts and the spring to help straighten out the pinion and driveshaft alignment. For the air bags I ran a line from each one to the trailer electrical connection plate so that I can fill them as need be. This way they add some sway control as well.

Cool

I cut my bump stops down to 1/2" and as you can imagine they don't have much give. They basically just keep the axle from hitting metal to metal. The Air Ride bags have built in bump stops so that is no longer a problem for me and the ride is fine. It was recommended to keep the stock shocks and they seem to work fine. Good luck.
