Default Anyone think they can help me out?

My trans has been acting up for a while and im getting tired of it.
The 1-2 shifts are hard and jerk the whole truck forward. the 2-3 shifts are allmost like it slips into neutral then acts like its searching for the next gear then on to 3rd. All of this is happening at low-mid rpms under light-medium acceleration and everyday around town driving. Changed MAF and MAP sensor's with no avail.

I will get it rebuilt soon enough, with all this slipping going on im sure it will need it but i am almost sure its computer related and figured I should fix this slipping before i burn up a new one.

Thanks in adv.

Sounds similar to what mine was doing. Eventually it quit shifting all together. Put a new trans in and drives fine now.

Either a rebuild or new trans is my vote.

That seams like your trams is about to go to the scrap yard. It does not seem like it's computer related.

Mine has been doing the exact thing for about 220,000 miles now. But it never got worse until the exact day, and this is no lie, that I had spoken to to someone about rebuilded a spare that I have to swap in. That was last week. Now that I've talked to someone, the 1-2 shift is smooth yet slow. But from 2-3 it is searching all over trying to lock up. And now it does that free rev thing also under normal highway driving at times. Just cruising along and it will slip.

I just hope that it holds up for another 2 weeks until I can order a new TC and swap in the 65e that is coming today.

Good luck with yours. Just don't talk about your tans within earshot of your truck and all should be well.

Thanks for the help I guess i will take it in for a rebuild. Since its going in anyways are there any recommended aftermarket parts I should have installed? Trans-go, vette servo, etc.? Hopefully something that might make it last longer I dont have tune software so adjusting the trans shift points and whatever alse there is isnt an option for me yet. Thanks for yalls help

I got the codes read and its showing

DTC: P1516 (TAC, Throttle Actuator Position Performance)
And P0446 but I dont think that would effect drivablity.

Could the TAC problem cause any type of drivability problem? I dont see any "reduced engine power" even though it feels like it is to a point.
