Was that a normal Auburn LSD or was it the Auburn PRO SERIES LSD?

Doesnt the Auburn provide more power to BOTH axles than the Trutrac? If 1 wheel is in teh air, wont the Trutrac allow that wheel to spin away, while the Auburn will still provided torque to BOTH wheels?

peace

I'd like to know if it was a pro series as well. Also, exactly did you tear it up?

An auburn will apply power to both wheels via cone clutches. The clutches get more aggressive with the more torque you apply. I can't say how the trutrac acts, but yes, some have experienced one tire fires with those style diffs.

im thinkin it was close to 600 bucks and i think it was the pro series..the only problems its givin me before it the clutch chatter and i just needed to add some more additive to it..which it has been chattering after some hard runs and i had bought some more additive to put in it but it already went out..dont really know if this has anything to do with it or not..it had 3 bottles of the gm additive in it and thats what auborn said to put in..after hearing some problems with the eaton and true trac i dont really know what i want to do..ive never had a problem with it spinnin just one wheel has always done both.

That sure sucks. How many miles were on that unit? I hope I never see mine come apart, too damn much money.
