Avalanche - Rear Axle Swap

Are these the measurements you got for that H2 rear?
CENTER OF SPRING PERCHES IS 36"
CENTER OF MOUNTS IS 54 1/2"
WHEEL FLANGES 70 5/8"
Is it supposed to be a 9.5 12 bolt or 14 bolt cover? Are the rear disc assemblies the same units as your Avalanche (connect the hoses and go) or are they bigger? Maybe bigger for the 8 lug hubs?
Lastly, is it correct to compare the 9.5" or 10.5" GM rear to the 9" Ford? Do those numbers represent the same dimension? 9.5" or 10.5" GM should be stronger/larger than the 9" Ford?

Those are the correct meassurements... The H2 rear end is about two inch wider on each side then the 10 bolt we have.
The brakes are hook up and go, you may need at least 17"s to clear them though...
You run 6 lug to 8 lug adapters on the front that will push them out to match the rear spacing and let you run matching 8 lug rims up front.

Thanks
I still don't know the best solution. I have been thinking about new rims & tires anyway so thats not too bad a pill to swallow and 6-8 lug adapters sound like a pretty easy(inexpensive) solution for the front. Think there would be any ABS & brake proportioning issues? I may as well get a set of BIG brakes for the front.
I have tried to contact a few of the drivetrain shops that do bolt-in 9" Ford, 12" bolt or even Dana 60 conversions for F-Body's but none have been willing to look at a custom bolt-in set-up for my Tahoe. I was hoping they would at least give me a price. I just might bite.
