Default Awd to 4wd swap ?? 2005 denali sierra
I have a 2005 gmc sierra denali that is awd and im wanting to convert to 4wd so i can have the option to go 2wd-4hi-4lo . Has anyone done this swap before ? what is all needed and any one have the parts needed for sale?

I’m curious what other advantages there are to doing this other than the hi / low / 2wd option.

is AWD superior to 4x4 in any way?

i believe the driveability would be better for im doing. plus there is no fun factor with awd...

I swapped to a floor shift tcase and it worked great. The Sierra AWD is supposed to be better than the Yukon AWD. Assuming you have the 149 tcase.
