He has them both in use...the auxilary cooler is run in series with the cooler in the radiator.

Thanks..... I'd really be curious to see what the differences in trans. temp would be if he just used the B&M cooler. The radiator itself has to be adding atleast 20* to the tranny fluid temp. just from the heat of the coolant in the radiator.

would you want to run the auxillary cooler after the stock cooler in the tranny correct? The stocker would reduce temps, then the auxillary would drop them even more? I would think going thru the auxillary which isn't heated by coolant would drop them and then running them back thru the radiator might raise them because of the heat in the coolant...?? Just curious...

I was just thinking about this again. You say the temps dropped 60° and they were ~190° to start. Is 130° too cold a temp for the fluid? It seems to me I heard 160°-170° is a good range for the fluid and that if it was too cold it could cause problems also.

I've heard of people running the fluid through the cooler first and then through the radiator cooler to help stabilize the temp since the engine coolant is pretty much always in a several degree range.

Summit has them. Price around though. Use the part numbers he provided, as they are Aeroquip fitting numbers.
