backspacing on 15" wheels

Honestly....I'm just thinking about going with a set of 6 lug to 5 lug(5x4.5) adaptor plates(1.75" thickness) and going with a set of weld draglites with a 7.5 backspacing for track use only. I don't think it would be a problem running them about 5 times a month. Anybody see any problem with that type setup?

mickey thompson et street radial 325/50/15
front:
15x5 draglite, 3.5 bs, 5x4.5
adapter plates 1.75" thick
215/75/15 tire
any others have any input on something working like this?

a stock 16x7 wheel has a 5.2" bs and +31mm offset.
so from this, you still have about an inch untill it would come in to contact with the bango bolt.

I realize that this setup will be strictly for the truck, but they will still stick out over an inch past the fenders won't they?

i just did a couple of measurments eyeballing it. your right, looks to be that they'll stick out around 1" past the fender. that's with taking into acount the 325's buldging out.
i think i can deal with 1" sticking out better than 2 or 3.

Ive had my stock 16 inch wheel widened 2 inches on the inside and have no clearance issues with hitting the banjo bolt... I guess cause i have suburban rear brakes the bolt is in a different location... Ill take some pics tomar of the rim and the clearance. Rims go perfect with 28x12.5x16 mt et streets..
