Bad Vibes Still
#13
Because you are feeling the vibration through the steering wheel it means that it will be mostly coming from the front. If you only feel it in the seat and floor its from the rear and I would guess something along the lines of possibly pinion angle, tranny mount, or something may be loose. From the front I would check your ball joints by putting the jack under the control arm and raising the tire just far enough off the ground to fit a pry bar or something you can pry up on the tire with. then have a buddy bounce it while you check for play. I would also check your tie rods and wheel bearings while the wheels are up. That's about all I can think of that may cause vibrations. Hope it helps!

try to find a speed that it vibrates, then let it coast in neutral, to see if the vibration goes away. If it does, problem is engine/transmission related. If not, look at the u-joints, axles & tires.

Jeff not saying that all of the info in this thread is not good. However I would look at when the vibration started and concentrate in this area. I honestly have not read all the posts/threads on your truck however as you know vibrations can be tricky. It is possible that with lowering a vehicle and the drive line angles being changed, that bushing wear in the transmission could be effected. In my years of building units I have seen some pretty worn out stuff so this could be an issue as well. Hope you get it figured out. Vince
