Belltech Carrier Bearing Adjustment Kit

Belltech Carrier Bearing Adjustment Kit
I got my Belltech 4" rear lowering kit 6513 today, and it came with the carrier bearing adjustment kit 4995 also. The drop kit uses 2" shackles and 2" hangers. For others with this drop kit, was the carrier adjustment kit required, or were 2* shims enough to eliminate vibrations? I read the directions and it requires cutting into the stock carrier mount, which I would like to avoid. Thanks!

I put the same kit on mine and did not use carrier kit.I guess I was lucky cause I have no vibrations. My pinion angle is way off tho 4 degrees positive.I bought some 6 degree shims to make it 2 degrees negative when I install Assassin traction bars.

On my DJM kit I had to use the bearing relocation kit. The rear of my truck is a 6" flip kit though. When I go full throttle from a stock (gutless 4.8) you can feel some vibration. I just had to put in a u joint, but the truck has about 120k miles on it. It has had the 6" kit on it for about 45-50k miles. I have my flip kit adjusted as far as it goes too for pinion angle.
I could see a 4" drop being OK, but the bearing relocation kit wouldn't hurt.
