I don't mind the parkin lot thing so much as I would on and off ramps on the highway. Can that loss of turning radius be remedies at all? I don't have any reservations about learancing on the spindle or grinding down a gall joint stud/ bolt. Oh yeah- I have 16" wheels........................

McGaughys has a special spindle for 16" wheels; not sure about Belltech.

 

ok let me clarify, belltech and mcgaughys both have a spindle for 16 inch rims, but it only works with 2wd trucks. thier 4wd lowering spindle requires at least 17 inch rims and from what i have heard it takes a little trimming of the lower ball joint to gain clearance for some rims. so for 2001c3driver you would be s.o.l. on running your stocks because your truck is 4wd.

 

its not the trimming of the lower ball joint. its the trimming of the lower ball joint bolt that hangs down. it rubs the rim. just trim it to be level w/ the nut and you are good to go i believe. i think some even get a thinner nut just so they can get more clearance.

sure, they did. I don't have to do a 3-point maneuver to flipabitch but I do need to plan properly

dammer that sucks about the loss of turning radius, i didn't even think of that before, thanks for the input guys. Do any of you guys know anyone that has used the djm lower control arm to lower the front?


2001c3 you could hit up some of the local tire shops to see if they had some 17 inch denali take offs from a denali like around 02, i had a set of the 6 spoke denali rims i picked up off a dealer for 300 bucks for all 4 rims and tires with about 100 miles on the tires, i sold them to a friend for 200 because no one wants them, they all want 20's or bigger so i know you can get them really cheap.

 

You won't lose turning radius with any of the drop spindles if you know what you are doing. I have the same turning radius I did when I was stock with my 2" drop mcgaughy spindles. I tested a couple sets and you don't loose turning radius.
