Default 'Belltech Nitro Drop 2 Shocks' way too ROUGH!!

I have an 00SingleCabSilvy and want to put a 2-4 drop on it before that I just installed a brand new set of drop 2 shock from Belltech. The newest and most improved yet, the salesman from stylin concepts said they're an awesome ride and night and day over stock. Let me just say I can't drive with anything in my cup holder or else it will be all over me and the inside of my truck. The shocks are extremly rough and It feels like I have no suspension at all. I'm taking them off and searching for new ones. Any suggestions?

ias or doestech (sp?) sounds like more than a shock problem tho, almost like your bottoming out, did you trim your bumpstops?

If you're talking about with a 2/4 drop. Yes technically it will work, but the travel over your suspension is physically 2" shorter than stock. I ran stock shocks for a little bit and the ride suffered big time just because they bottom out quite a bit and because the shocks aren't valved to accomodate 2" of drop.

Wait, if I read the post correctly, you say that you want to install a 2/4 drop but installed the drop shocks first?? Did you lower the truck or just install the shocks...am I missing something??

If you installed drop shocks on the factory ride height, the ride will not feel normal, and you may damage a shock...

I damaged a shock doing that exact same thing!!

I sold my 2" drop coils but kept my 2" drop shocks and 3 months later I blew one(surprise surprise).

yeah those drop shocks are meant to ride great at a certain height. thats why they have stock, 2",4", and 6" drop shocks that are meant for those lengths. drop the truck 4 inches before you put those shocks on.
