It's funny that you're having this problem because i have my own story. I ordered a bunch of stuff from summit and i wanted two nitro drop shocks for the front. I ordered the original nitro drop shocks instead of the nitro 2 drop shocks. Somehow i only ordered one shock instead of two so a couple of days later when i received my order and realized i needed another shock i got back on summit to order and they were "permanently out of stock". BUT the website gave me a direct replacement code for the nitro 2 drop shock. I ordered it and got it in the mail and it's seems about 5 times softer than the first nitro drop shock. The Nitro 2 drop shock can be easily compressed by hand while the original nitro drop shock takes quite a bit of pressure to compress it. I haven't installed yet but I'm afraid it's not gonna ride right.

If you installed drop shocks on the factory ride height, the ride will not feel normal, and you may damage a shock...
I have not installed the 2/4 yet, its at stock height with a 2" shakle drop. I called stylin and they said these shocks are made for stock height, AND a 2/4 drop, so I went ahead and put them on.

correct. Did your shock seem extremely easy to compress by hand?

Default 2 Nitro Drop Shocks

I am very happy i found this post i recently lowered my 02 rcsb 3/4 with the above mentioned shocks. let me tell you those shocks are like having nothing on in the back at all. the truck bottoms out on everything. driving to work everyday with them is a nightmare my toneau cover gets rocked out of its rails every trip. like mentioned, out of the box i pulled them apart and compressed them with extremely to little of an effort. its only a 4 inch rear drop and i had a 01 rcsb before this one with regular nitros it was 100 times better. any help with a new replacement shocks would be appreciated doestech? ias? or regular nitro?

Same here, 2/4 rides rough as hell but I going with these soon and adjustable is nice
comfort AND better weight distribution @ the track !
