for the rancho's you have to d/l the catalog and cross reference the different part #'s. it tells you what ends are on the shock, weather t-bar or eyelet, etc... then you can pin point the compression and extension of the shock that works in your range.

On a side note, from reading a previous thread, it was mentioned that 98 and older trucks use a smaller front shock... I confirmed this by looking up several other websites that list the dimensions.
mine stock are
extended 14.375 compressed 10.375
1998
extended 13.75 compressed 9.5
The 98's are almost the exact dimensionsas my current drop shocks... They have alot of other brands available... They even make Bilstein HD in that size
.... so i got some more options assuming the weights of the 2 trucks are similar...

Yes the 88-98 shocks are shorter. That's why I've always recommended the Monroe Reflex 88-98 front shocks for dropped truck as a relatively cheap replacement.

To the guy calling belltech a garbage company, get real. Their lowering parts are physically some of the thickest, strongest on the market. Ive been more than satisfied anytime I've had to call them up. The techs are always helpful.
Sucks to hear about the street performance shocks. I have about 20k on mine, I just might have to pull mine off for comparison.

how about doetsch tech shocks? ive got them on the back of my truck for about 40k and they ride good. wish the front was like the back on this thing. only 'issue' is if i jump off my tailgate i hear the rebound which it didnt used to do. no adverse riding from it though. if you call them and tell them your setup they get the right ones for you
